Intune is Microsoft's device management platform, natively integrated into Microsoft 365. It allows you to apply compliance policies, configure conditional access, and manage all your company's endpoints from a single pane of glass. Only available for organizations with Microsoft 365 licensing.

What is MDM and what is it for?
MDM (Mobile Device Management) is a solution that allows companies to centrally manage, configure and protect the mobile devices used by their employees. With MDM you can apply security policies, install or restrict apps, locate lost devices, and remotely wipe corporate data.
Do I need to have Microsoft 365 to use Intune?
Yes. Microsoft Intune is part of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and requires a license that includes it (such as Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Enterprise). Intune cannot be purchased independently without an active Microsoft 365 subscription. At IBERSYA we help you choose the right licensing for your company.
Can it be used with employees' personal devices (BYOD)?
Yes. Intune allows you to manage personal devices under the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) model. In this case, application protection policies are applied that separate corporate data from personal data, without the company having access to the employee's photos, messages or private apps. The user maintains their privacy and the company protects their information.
What happens if an employee loses their phone?
If a device is lost or stolen, from the Intune dashboard you can geolocate it, lock it remotely, and perform a selective wipe that deletes only corporate data, leaving personal information intact. For company-owned devices, it is also possible to perform a hard wipe that returns the device to its factory state.
